"Every Little Bit Counts"

There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self. So you have to begin there, not outside, not on other people. That comes afterward, when you've worked on your own corner. Aldous Huxley, (Time Must Have a Stop)
You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself. Nelson Mandela
A healthy life depends on a healthy planet...
The Earth's climate has changed many times during the planet's history, with events ranging from ice ages to long periods of warmth. Historically, natural factors such as volcanic eruptions, changes in the Earth's orbit, and the amount of energy released from the Sun have affected the Earth's climate. Beginning late in the 18th century, human activities associated with the Industrial Revolution have also changed the composition of the atmosphere and therefore very likely are influencing the Earth's climate.
For the past 200 years, the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal and oil, and deforestation have caused the concentrations of heat-trapping "greenhouse gases" to increase significantly in our atmosphere. These gases prevent heat from escaping to space, somewhat like the glass panels of a greenhouse.

Greenhouse gases are necessary to life as we know it, because they keep the planet's surface warmer than it otherwise would be. But, as the concentrations of these gases continue to increase in the atmosphere, the Earth's temperature is climbing above past levels. According to NOAA and NASA data, the Earth's average surface temperature has increased by about 1.2 to 1.4ºF in the last 100 years. The eight warmest years on record (since 1850) have all occurred since 1998, with the warmest year being 2005. Most of the warming in recent decades is very likely the result of human activities. Other aspects of the climate are also changing such as rainfall patterns, snow and ice cover, and sea level.
Green house effect and global warming are the issues which are affecting the world's environment by changing the global weather pattern. We have to fight together to make the earth a better place for living.
If greenhouse gases continue to increase, climate models predict that the average temperature at the Earth's surface could increase from 3.2 to 7.2ºF above 1990 levels by the end of this century.
Everyone benefits when we preserve and protect the environment for future generations. One person can make a difference in the lives and the world around them.

Believe in butterflies.
If they can fly a thousand miles, think what you can do.

It all has to start somewhere. If not with you than who? If not today then when?

Step up and be that person who takes that step in the right direction. Start the snowball rolling and become part of the solution.

You don't have to change your entire life. Make the simple changes around your house that really can make a difference. A Healthy Planet starts by Thinking Globally but Acting Locally.

K2K-INDIA's GoGreen Man Movement hopes to get every person to plant at least one tree each year.
Now image that number if the entire city did the same. How about the city, the state or even the whole country.
If this happens, we believes " one billion trees "can be planted in an effort to help stop global warming.

Now can you see how one person doing their one little thing can turn into a healthy planet revolution?

It just takes action. Take the first step and you will be on your way towards a healthy life and a healthy planet.

We (You too) are a growing group of Active people in India, who are concerned about protecting the environment. ”Our goal is to improve the environment in our mother India by working with like-minded Indians to create a clean and safe place to live and work.” We share information, educate the public, and support participants' involvement in environmental initiatives according to their various interests.
We are pleased to welcome people who would like to join our network & get involved with K2K at what ever level is comfortable to them, even if this only means receiving our newsletter.
